Important Update: International Accreditation Forum (IAF) Mandatory Document 28 (MD 28)

Starting 26 October 2024, the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) will implement its Mandatory Document 28 (MD 28), requiring all accredited certification bodies to upload their certification data to the official IAF database.

What Does This Mean?

The IAF database is a centralized platform designed to assist global industries, businesses, and regulators by enabling the quick and reliable verification of accredited management system certifications.

Certifications uploaded to the database are issued by certification bodies accredited under ISO/IEC 17021-1 by accreditation bodies that are signatories to the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA).

How This Benefits You

– Transparency: Instantly verify the validity of certifications issued by accredited bodies.

– Global Recognition: Trust in certifications backed by internationally recognized standards.

– Efficiency: Simplifies regulatory compliance and builds trust with your partners and customers.
